Baked asparagus

Sometimes I like my asparagus a little crunchier than usual!

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 10-15 minutes

Ingredients:

Bunch of asparagus (15-25 depending on size)

Large zip lock bag

1/2 sleeve of ritz crackers

1tsp of garlic powder

1tsp of onion powder

1/4 tsp of paprika

1tbsp of sunflower seed or olive oil

1/2 stick of melted butter

Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Cut the dry bases off the asparagus or size the asparagus to the zip lock bag. Place the asparagus in the bag, then drizzle the oil. Add in the garlic, onion, paprika, salt and pepper (keep in mind the ritz crackers are salted!) Then gently massage the seasonings into the asparagus and set aside.

In a separate bowl melt the butter in a microwave. Once melted, incorporate the ritz crackers.

Place the asparagus in an 8x8 inch pan and coat the top layer with the ritz cracker crumbs, then place them in the oven for 10-15 minutes.

Note: I prefer my asparagus more on the crunchy side so I leave mine in for 12 minutes, just until the ritz cracker crumbs are golden brown.
