Having a sweet tooth can be hard when you're trying to stay on track, but with this brownie recipe you wont need to feel guilty for indulging.

Prep time: 10 minutes

Bake time: 20-25 minutes

Wait time: 12 hours

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of overripe mashes banana

  • 2/3 cup of nut butter of choice

  • 1/3 cup of cocoa powder

  • 3 tbsp of protein powder of choice (typically I would use chocolate, but sometimes I like to mix it up. If you don't have or want to use protein powder use more cocoa powder.)

  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract

  • 1/4 tsp of salt

  • 1/4 cup of liquid sweetener of choice (I use honey or agave.)

  • 1 tbsp of sunflower seed or avocado oil

  • Your choice of topping

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.

Grease an 8x8'' pan with your choice of oil.

Combine all ingredients into a mixing bow, beat until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Spread the mixture into the pan and place on the center rack in the oven.

Let the brownies bake for 20 minutes (if you like them fudgy) to 25 minutes (if you like them firm.)

When you remove the brownies they will seem loose, let them cool on the stove top, then place them in the fridge over night to set (as you would a cheese cake.) In the morning they will be sweet and ready!

Note: If you are someone who enjoys icing on their brownie, any nut butter is a great substitute.
